Resin Guide — How to Never Waste a Drop
What resin actually costs you, what each activity charges, and the one weekly price nobody warns you about.
What resin is
Original Resin regenerates at 1 unit every 8 minutes, capping at 200. Left running, that is 180 resin a day and 1,260 a week.
It gates almost everything worth having and you cannot rush it without spending Primogems. Treat it as a budget, not a savings account.
Note what the cap means in practice: 200 held against 180 produced a day. You have a little over a day of slack before anything is lost, so a missed evening costs nothing and a missed weekend costs real resin.
What each thing charges
Resin is spent on Ley Line Blossoms, on Petrified Trees — which is what domains are — and on Trounce Blossoms, which is what weekly bosses are.
- A domain costs 20 resin for normal rewards, or 40 for double
- A weekly boss costs 30 resin for the first three each week, and 60 for every one after that
That second line is the one that catches people. The fourth weekly boss and beyond cost double. If you are farming a specific talent material, the first three are the efficient ones and the fourth is a decision, not a routine.
Early game (AR 1–35)
Spend on Ley Line Blossoms. Mora and character EXP are what you are short of, and they are what Ley Lines pay. Ignore artifact domains until you have a team that clears them quickly — a domain you take five minutes to finish is a domain charging you time as well as resin.
Mid game (AR 36–44)
Start the weekly bosses. Their talent materials are time-gated rather than resin-gated, so the three cheap runs each week are the ones you do not want to miss — unspent, they do not roll over.
End game (AR 45+)
Artifact domains. Accept early that bad rolls are normal, farm one domain for a couple of weeks before moving on, and do not chase a perfect piece. That is the road to burnout, not to a build.
The maths
At 180 a day, a month is about 5,400 resin. At 20 resin a domain run, that is roughly 270 runs — or half that if you are taking double rewards, which is usually the better trade once you are farming artifacts seriously.
Enough to build two characters properly, if you are consistent about it.
